it is now finished !

1. Do you think that the platform that you use is good and effective...if yes...why? if no, why?
2. Your perception before and after learning ADDIE model..

see that two questions there? these are the 'thought-provoking' questions posted by the supervisor after the class of 20 have presented their end product. each group has their own flow of ideas to respond to the matter.

personally, i'd say that using this platform will do a great help in teaching and explaining tough topics. we may never know the real deal of a person's job until we purposely put ourselves in that person's shoe. so, for a primary school teachers, teaching young learners is not an easy job. it is 'terribly' challenging. hyper-active children, timid ones, or some just simply drag their world of unwanted imagination and fantasies into the classroom, these are the kind of people that primary school teachers are dealing with. by simply having this helpful and interactive web 2.0 tool, you can kill other interruptions or disruptive behaviours, perhaps, because the digital and virtual world offers more than just conventional and traditional classroom routine. back in our days, we do not have that pleasure as technologies are not yet at hands or limited. students can actively learn new knowledge and explore more, that is constructivism and it's a good news for them. if they had learnt the key elements of exploring new knowledge, there is nothing to worry for us teachers. spill any new information and let them explore and acquire the knowledge, with our guidance and scaffolding, they can do better. this platform will assist us in making our dreams come true - helping the students to learn and understand better. children loves animations, games, and interactive session. hmm, that will pretty much answer the first question.

in turns out that ADDIE model was really helpful for us. if we had not learn this model, we may also accomplish our mission but the way we did it may not be in an organised manner. this model has been our guidance in completing the construction of our blog template and content. somehow, we did better from our previous task when we had this model at hand. perhaps it could also come in handy for other assignments. i guess we have to see about that for the next semester.

building the block !

now that we have arrived to the stage where building and developing the blog is made possible. for the five of us, we divided the chores evenly to everyone, but, it only happens after we have a full discuss-session with the supervisor. we got more than two hours to vomit out ideas and put our 'digital' skills into action and this is what we have in store.

we received comments and critics not only from the supervisor but also from peers. those words are very valuable during this stage because every aspects of building this web 2.0 need to be watched closely, for an example the colours. this platform is meant to for primary students seven to twelve. these people need something that is attractive fun and also challenging. so we have included pictures from webs, animations and videos and also game quizzes for them to try out.

making the story !

remember the ADDIE model ? we have finally come out with a storyboard for the whole web 2.0 project and it has been accepted by out supervisor.

this storyboard will be our guideline in developing the blog template. it will be navigated accordingly to play so we will not have any misconfusion and miscommunication with the linking ideas.

A to E !

A.D.D.I.E model is a generic process that consist of five essential phases - Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. this model provide a dynamic and effective guidelines for building our educational web 2.0 tool. as we go through the phases of the model, it somehow gives us the ideas to design our web 2.0 tool.

firstly, we have to analyse the goals and objective of the the chosen topic whether it is a problematic topic, topic which brings confusion to students. if we mistakenly choose a not-so-confusing topic, our task will not be very effective because there topics that can easily be taught in class without having the trouble to manage such complicated web 2.0 tool. this tool is used for making an extended version a the curriculum by outlining every aspects of the lesson.

next, designing the project. this is the part we started to make a storyboard for our blog template. important elements like the objective, the knowledge, the skills involved are included in the storyboard.

then, development of our project. after we have designed our blog template and it has been approved by the supervisor aka pn rohaida, all the necessary items and contents of the pages are filled and completed.

the implementation phase is yet to be tested. this phase are to be presented on the final week of our class. only after the implementation phase comes the evaluation phase.

last but not least, evaluation phase which is the final phase of this model. the evaluation phase will be done after our presentation.

time has come !

currently in the class, listening to presentation and updating the blog.

the first group has presented their web 2.0 tools. they use blogger account to create a platform for learning. what they did was awesome, they manage to design a useful and attractive blog for students to log on to.

googlesite is likely similar to blogger in terms of the function. this group, group two managed to decorate the site to be such a welcoming page to visit. as mentioned by pn rohaida, googlesite do differ with blogger. the arragement and order of the page are much more organised. i'd say, organise-able.

the thing is, some of us prefer googlesites than blogging, maybe it is because the way they want to organise their content and ideas of a certain topic is more suitable to be inserted into googlesite. some groups did mention that.

last but not least, for our group, we have chosen an Instant Messaging as a platform of learning. we decided to use this platform as an after class session between teacher and students for them to have a real-time chatting and discussion about the topic they have learned previously in class. Instant Messaging or IM provides variety of applications like video conferencing, media sharing and they are all near to real-time interaction. these features are surely useful for both teacher and students to have a discussion where they can share ideas, post questions and clarify any confusions about any topics. feedbacks from pn. rohaida is very useful because she gave us ideas on how to fully utilise the platform for making it a better medium of teaching and learning process.

criticise ! criticise !

3 weeks without any input a.k.a actual classroom interaction and now we're back in action !

for this week's lesson, we learned to consider and evaluate a software or application using the appropriate rubric or guideline. at first, the rubric was given by pn rohaida which she found on the internet. there are several guidelines that can be followed in scrutinising any softwares or websites. the
